Die Hard 5 has a new lead: Jai Courtney

Those of you who think Bruce Willis is too old to carry the Die Hard films as loose cannon John McLane will be glad to know that the action blockbuster franchise has a new lead: Blood and Sand actor Jai Courtney.

Those of you who don't want to see Bruce Willis leave the franchise will also be glad to know that he is still in the movie as John McLane. Jai Courtney will instead play his son, Jack McLane. According to the official press release, John McLane is "an apple that has not fallen far from the tree". Which means we can expect the same witty, maverick behaviour from the new lead. Whether our expectations will be met or not is another thing, though. At least, we still have Willis to try and salvage the movie if Jai Courtney turns out to be a dud.
